Why We’re Out of Office

Out of Office Is a State of Being

OOO was born from a simple truth: burnout isn’t a badge of honor. The grind was never designed to serve us — it was designed to consume us. Wellness, as we’ve known it, has been twisted into another productivity tool, a way to recharge so you can work harder. We’re here to undo that.

Deconstructing Wellness, Rewriting Work

OOO is not a brand. It’s a redefinition. We deconstruct wellness, stripping away the overpriced, exclusionary industry and return to rest as ritual, community, and inheritance. We deconstruct work, exposing hustle culture for what it is, and rewriting what it means to live well outside of labor.

From 54 Thrones to OOO

OOO was created by Christina Funke Tegbe; founder of 54 Thrones, the award-winning African beauty brand rooted in ritual and heritage. Where 54 Thrones celebrates the power of African botanicals, OOO expands that vision, creating cultural spaces that honor ease, beauty, and collective care through community, movement, and the reimagining of work.

A New Order of Ease

OOO isn’t a retreat from reality. It’s the reality we’re building: spaces, gatherings, and rituals where rest is not a luxury but the foundation. And in Spring 2026, that vision takes shape in Houston, Texas with the opening of our first physical space; a cultural hub where wellness, community, and new ways of living converge.

At its heart sits The Terrace Lounge, an open-air sanctuary designed for conversation, connection, and ritual. Elevated above the ordinary, the Terrace is where the city exhales—a place to gather at golden hour, to slow down over coffee, cocktails, or wellness elixirs, and to experience leisure as language. Every sip and sound is intentional, every detail invites pause. It’s not just a bar; it’s the physical embodiment of being “out of office.”
